A drink on Friday night with the gays at the usual Friday Night Social in Leura. A lift with Sharron and Diane, so a few too many schooners were consumed.
Chiropractor on Saturday morning and then off to see Mum before she flies out to Ohio to see Matthew, Chanin and the new baby. Not going to be here for my birthday in two weeks, but am sure she will enjoy spending it with Matthew – sometimes it sucks being a twin when you have to share your Mum on your birthday.
Bjorn joined me on the train at Strathfield on the way home and we had a quiet night with chicken, mushroom, cream and pesto spaghetti and a nice dry Verdelho.
Big walk with Anzac this morning followed by a nice brekkie at the Victory in the village – sweet onion and goats cheese frittatas for me!
That was just to get us fuelled for working in the garden – isn’t it great when your lawn needs mowing and a friend volunteers? I HATE MOWING THE LAWN! It looks great and I didn’t have to do anything. Meanwhile I got stuck into the front yard – it’s a work in progress, but I’m happy with what we’ve done so far. Started digging a pond and planted a dozen seedlings including a eucalyptus, waratah, banksia and grevillea. I just have to finish digging the pond, line it and fill it, then landscape a bit and put down the mulch and the first bed in the transformation will be complete.
Thanks to Hadi for your kind words, Peter and Pinoyboy for your fantastic support and everyone who reads this and/or listens to my new podcast. It brings a big smile to my dial.
