If Apple released Leopard like Windows released Vista…

Do you think we’d end up with something like this:

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Basic
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Premium
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Ultimate
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Ultimate Platinum
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Ultimate Platinum Black
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Home Basic
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Home
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Home Premium
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Home Ultimate
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Home Ultimate Platinum White
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Home Ultimate Platinum Black
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Home Ultimate Platinum Alloy
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Home Business Professional Ultimate Platinum Alloy with extra Steveness

Personally, I’d like the extra Steveness!

Fatty, fatty boomsticks

Aarrgghh!! It seems I’ve put on about 5 kilos over the past month and a bit.

What’s going on? I walk the dog every day and I haven’t really changed my eating habits. Homemade museli or sourdough toast for breakfast. A ham (or turkey or salami or chicken or pastrami) and salad roll for lunch. And dinner is usually about 200-300g of some sort of meat, poultry or fish and steamed veggies or salad. Sometimes I’ll have some ice cream. Or homemade yogurt. I don’t generally drink a lot of alcohol, apart from Gay Social Friday.

So where’s the fat coming from?

Do I have to start smoking again to lose the weight?

Beyond words

How would you feel if, on your birthday, you didn’t hear from any of your family apart from your step-father.

Words can’t currently describe how hurt I am.

It’s my party

Happy birthday to James from Jockohomo, MAK from Till the cows come home and my twin Matthew.

Oh. And me too. 36 and counting.

Happy birthday, Gran

Today would have been Gran’s 97th birthday.

I know you’re looking out for us and making sure we don’t make too many mistakes.

I miss you too.

Happy VD! A bit about politics, a bit about water, a bit about the men I fancy and a bit about self-esteem.

These are the guys that I would be very proud to call my boyfriend! And I know a couple of them. Notice a trend?

My facial fate

Long live the beary, beardy thing that’s happening on my face.

Not too many comments, but it’s about 4-1 that it stays, so stay it does!

Making my garden grow

A drink on Friday night with the gays at the usual Friday Night Social in Leura. A lift with Sharron and Diane, so a few too many schooners were consumed.

Chiropractor on Saturday morning and then off to see Mum before she flies out to Ohio to see Matthew, Chanin and the new baby. Not going to be here for my birthday in two weeks, but am sure she will enjoy spending it with Matthew – sometimes it sucks being a twin when you have to share your Mum on your birthday.

Bjorn joined me on the train at Strathfield on the way home and we had a quiet night with chicken, mushroom, cream and pesto spaghetti and a nice dry Verdelho.

Big walk with Anzac this morning followed by a nice brekkie at the Victory in the village – sweet onion and goats cheese frittatas for me!

That was just to get us fuelled for working in the garden – isn’t it great when your lawn needs mowing and a friend volunteers? I HATE MOWING THE LAWN! It looks great and I didn’t have to do anything. Meanwhile I got stuck into the front yard – it’s a work in progress, but I’m happy with what we’ve done so far. Started digging a pond and planted a dozen seedlings including a eucalyptus, waratah, banksia and grevillea. I just have to finish digging the pond, line it and fill it, then landscape a bit and put down the mulch and the first bed in the transformation will be complete.

Thanks to Hadi for your kind words, Peter and Pinoyboy for your fantastic support and everyone who reads this and/or listens to my new podcast. It brings a big smile to my dial.
